Rep. Burgess Owens, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing federal funding issues, economic policy, and the state of the nation.

On February 25, 2026, Owens wrote: “REMINDER: Democrats have shut down the funding to @DHSgov and Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers like the American Hero Scott Ruskan aren’t getting paid.”

Shortly after, he commented on financial opportunities for young Americans by stating: “America is the land of big dreams. @TrumpAccounts are such an incredible jump start for our children, show them the blessings of living in a capitalist society.”

Later that evening, Owens reflected on recent national progress with another post: “Tonight is a shining reminder of how far we’ve come.
@POTUS has delivered REAL, TANGIBLE results.
Inflation is down. Interest rates are lowered and homeownership is finally becoming attainable again. This is what the golden age of America looks like.
