Burgess Owens, U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, shared several updates on his official Twitter account on July 23, 2025. His posts addressed topics ranging from declassified intelligence documents to the importance of skilled trades and Republican-led education reforms.

On July 23, 2025, Owens wrote: “Declassified documents prove Obama’s intel community knew there was NO evidence against President @realDonaldTrump and pushed it anyway. The Russian hoax was just that – a HOAX. Thank you, @DNIGabbard.”

Later the same day, he highlighted the significance of skilled trades in America’s workforce: “Skilled trades are the backbone of our nation’s workforce. I met with @HBIBuildCareers to discuss their incredible work preparing the next generation of builders, electricians, and craftsmen – young Americans ready to build careers.” This message underscored ongoing efforts to prepare youth for careers in various trades.

In a subsequent post on July 23, Owens commented on Republican initiatives in education under former President Donald Trump: “Great news. Under President @realDonaldTrump’s leadership, Republicans are restoring local control, cutting waste, fraud, and abuse, and working to make American education the best in the world.”

Owens has served as a member of Congress since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently residing in Salt Lake City at age 71, Owens graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.
