Rep. Burgess Owens, U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, highlighted recent legislative and community engagement efforts in a series of posts on July 21, 2025.

On his official account, Owens announced the passage of the FY26 Defense Appropriations Act by House Republicans: “Last week, @HouseGOP passed the FY26 Defense Appropriations Act to strengthen our military, support our troops, restore fiscal discipline at the Pentagon, and deliver big wins for Utah – from Hill Air Force Base to Camp Williams. https://t.co/TRUA0nxzEx” (July 21, 2025).

Later that day, he shared his participation in a youth-focused initiative: “Great to join the Reconnecting Youth Campaign to talk about one of the most important missions we have: restoring the pipeline between young people and their purpose. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently residing in Salt Lake City at age 71, Owens holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami earned in 1974.
