Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative efforts through a series of posts on social media.

On December 10, 2025, Owens wrote about his visit to a local community center: “Enjoyed a wonderful morning at the Curtis Center for Arts and Education for their Christmas breakfast and presentation. Grateful to meet Michelle Holbrook, whose son Curtis inspired this outstanding community resource where adults with disabilities can learn, grow, and thrive.”

The following day, December 11, 2025, he posted about an upcoming committee meeting: “TUNE IN: Today at 10:15 AM ET, @EdWorkforceCmte is marking up legislation to protect homeschoolers, expand access for students in U.S. territories, and finally bring clarity to college pricing and financial aid.”

Later that same day, Owens commented on recent legislative progress: “Proud to see the PERMIT Act pass the House, which includes my bill to bring long-overdue transparency and accountability to the EPA’s water quality rulemaking, a process that’s kept the very people whose water, land, and livelihoods are on the line in the dark.”

Owens has represented Utah’s 4th District since 2021 after replacing Ben McAdams. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Owens earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1974.
