Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities and legislative efforts through a series of posts on September 23, 2025.
In one post, Owens wrote, “It was a pleasure to join my colleagues, @RepMikeKennedy and @RepJeffHurd, in meeting with leaders from the Ute Mountain Tribe in White Mesa. We discussed important education, environmental, and health priorities that are top of mind for the tribe.” (September 23, 2025).
Later that day, he announced his support for legislation aimed at improving healthcare access for seniors: “I’m proud to co-sponsor @MikeKellyPA’s Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025 to modernize and streamline Medicare Advantage’s prior authorization process, so seniors in Utah’s Fourth District and across America can get the care they need without delays.” (September 23, 2025).
In another update about educational opportunities in Utah County, Owens stated: “Team Owens was thrilled to help celebrate the ribbon cutting of @mtechutah in Payson. This new campus gives residents of south Utah County greater access to excellent technical education through MTech.” (September 23, 2025).
Owens has represented Utah’s 4th district since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Owens graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.
