Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform to honor veterans and highlight local community engagement in a series of posts published on November 11 and 12, 2025.
On Veterans Day, November 11, Owens expressed gratitude for those who have served in the armed forces. He stated, “America is the land of the free because of the brave. On Veterans Day and every day, we honor the men and women who answered the call to serve, including the remarkable Veterans who call Utah home. May God bless our Veterans, their families, and all who have served. “
The following day, Owens shared his experience attending an event at American Preparatory Academy in Salem to recognize Utah veterans. In his November 12 post he wrote, “It was an honor to join students at American Preparatory Academy in Salem to recognize and thank our Utah Veterans. Because of their service, sacrifice, and courage, we are blessed to live in the greatest country on earth. “
Later that same day, Owens commented on a meeting with a local official from West Valley City: “Had a great conversation with West Valley Councilman Tom Huynh to hear more about his work and priorities for the city. I’m grateful for his steady leadership and his commitment to serving our community!”
Owens has represented Utah’s 4th District since 2021 after replacing Ben McAdams in Congress (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/O000174).
