Rep. Burgess Owens, U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, published a series of posts on October 7, 2025, addressing recent political events and commemorations. Owens reflected on the anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel and criticized Senate Democrats for their actions regarding government funding.

In his first post on October 7, 2025, Owens wrote, “Two years ago today, the world witnessed pure evil as Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists brutally murdered over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children in Israel and took more than 250 hostages, including Americans.

Thank you, President Trump, for standing with our ally Israel,”.

Later that day, at 19:00 UTC, Owens turned his attention to ongoing federal budget negotiations. He stated: “Senate Democrats have had multiple chances to re-open the government but refuse to vote for the same clean CR they supported 13 times under the Biden administration.
