Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and community engagements through a series of posts on social media.
On August 7, 2025, Owens posted about his discussion with Hudson Gunn, CEO of BillionGraves. He wrote, “Had a great conversation with Hudson Gunn, CEO of @BillionGraves, about innovative ways to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. @HouseGOP is on it and we’re working hard to make sure Americans’ taxpayer dollars put America First.”
The following day, August 8, 2025, Owens highlighted a visit from Tiffiny Tyler and her daughter Kairi at his district office. He stated in his post: “Grateful to have Tiffiny Tyler and her daughter Kairi stop by my district office to talk about the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act. I’m proud to co-sponsor this bill to ensure individuals born with congenital anomalies or birth defects get the health insurance coverage they need.”
Later that same day, Owens mentioned meeting with financial advisors from Edward Jones in Utah. In his tweet he said: “Appreciated the chance to sit down with some of Utah’s top @EdwardJones financial advisors to talk about caregiver legislation, their financial fitness efforts, and plans to bring a new bank to our state. Grateful for their leadership and focus on supporting Utah families.”
Burgess Owens has served as the representative for Utah’s 4th District since 2021 after succeeding Ben McAdams. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and now residing in Salt Lake City at age 71, Owens graduated from the University of Miami in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
