Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent engagements with local youth and veterans in a series of posts on November 4, 2025.

In a post published at 19:09 UTC, Owens described his visit to a youth-focused organization: “Had a great visit with Telos Director Anthony Hansen and his team in Orem to learn more about their mission to help Utah teens and young adults overcome challenges, connect with their communities, and build brighter paths forward. Grateful for their commitment to supporting youth”.

Later that day, at 20:42 UTC, he addressed students at Salem Hills High School: “Thank you to the Salem Hills High School @TPUSA Chapter for inviting me to talk about the power of the First Amendment and the courage to speak up for what you believe in. Proud of these Utahns for standing boldly for God, Country, and family! “.

Owens also participated in a Veterans Day Assembly at American Preparatory Academy in West Valley City. In a post made at 22:10 UTC, he wrote: “Honored to join the Veterans Day Assembly at American Preparatory Academy in West Valley City. These students did an incredible job honoring our remarkable veterans and showing their love for this great country.”

Burgess Owens has represented Utah’s 4th congressional district since 2021 after succeeding Ben McAdams. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Owens holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami (1974).
