Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on his official Twitter account on December 9, 2025, highlighting community engagement and technological developments in Utah.

In one post from December 9, Owens expressed appreciation for local advocacy groups: “Honored to spend time with Utahns who are driving prosperity and opportunity in our communities – and to share an update from Washington. Grateful for the remarkable team at @AFP_Utah for championing common-sense policies that put Utah and America FIRST!”

Later that day, Owens commended Utah-based companies advancing energy solutions: “Utah is leading the way with real solutions to meet the energy needs of next-generation technology. Look no further than Big D Construction and NOVVA, who are building one of the nation’s first data centers powered by its own on-site plant. Proud of our state for setting the”

In another message posted on December 9, Owens thanked a former local official for his service: “Thank you to former West Jordan Mayor Jim Riding for stopping by my district office this week. Grateful his many years of service, both to the West Jordan community and to our great nation in the military.”

Owens has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after succeeding Ben McAdams as representative of Utah’s 4th District. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951, he currently resides in Salt Lake City. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami (1974).
