Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on November 19, 2025, highlighting developments in workforce education and infrastructure within his constituency.

In a post at 16:18 UTC, Owens introduced a witness from Utah participating in a congressional hearing: “Honored to introduce Chris Gamvroulas from the great state of Utah, who is testifying for @NAHBhome at today’s @EdWorkforceCmte hearing. Utah is full of innovators who get things done, and we’re grateful to have Chris’s perspective as we work to strengthen America’s workforce.”

An hour later, at 17:19 UTC, Owens announced federal funding for local infrastructure: “Great news for Utah’s 4th District: @SpanishForkCity is receiving $497,345 from @USDOT and @FAANews to fund construction of a new 2,000-foot taxiway at Spanish Fork Airport. This investment keeps our local airport safe, up to standard, and ready for the future.”

At 18:58 UTC on the same day, he emphasized the importance of career and technical education in Utah: “Joining @EdWorkforceCmte for a hearing on how career and technical education gives students real skills for real jobs. Like in Utah, where Jordan School District is helping students earn credentials and build the skills needed to succeed. Tune in!”

Burgess Owens has represented Utah’s 4th District since 2021 after succeeding Ben McAdams. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and resides in Salt Lake City. Owens graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1974.
