Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 18, 2025, highlighting meetings with local leaders and industry groups.

In his first post at 14:25 UTC, Owens shared appreciation for a visit from President Gayle Ruzicka and associates at the Utah Eagle Forum. He wrote, “It’s always a pleasure spending time with President Gayle Ruzicka and my friends at @UTEagleForum. Thanks for stopping by!”

Later that day at 15:20 UTC, Owens addressed Utah’s economic growth and the role of the Associated General Contractors of Utah (AGC of Utah). He stated, “Utah is one of the fastest-growing states in the nation, and @AGCofUtah is helping build that future. With 660+ member firms completing 85% of our state’s commercial construction, we talked about how to support this vital industry and continue growing our workforce.”

At 16:02 UTC, Owens mentioned discussions with Pitman Farms and members of the National Turkey Federation during their leadership conference in Washington D.C., noting his support for local agriculture. He tweeted, “Met with Pitman Farms and the @natlturkeyfed during their leadership conference in D.C. Proud to stand with Utah’s turkey farmers as they grow their workforce and help keep America fed. Thanks for stopping by!”

Owens has served as representative for Utah’s 4th District since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951, he currently resides in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Miami in 1974.
