Rep. Burgess Owens, who represents Utah’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on November 18 and 19, 2025, highlighting meetings with local students, international visitors, and media appearances.

On November 18, Owens posted about meeting a local student: “Proud to meet Lane Barnes, a high school student from Bluffdale who reached out to my team to talk about government and public service. His initiative and drive are exactly what we need in the next generation of American leaders.”

Later that day, he commented on hosting an international delegation: “Enjoyed welcoming a legislative delegation from Santa Catarina, Brazil, to my West Jordan office as they looked to strengthen economic ties with the great state of Utah. Thanks for stopping by!”

On November 19, Owens discussed his appearance on a sports podcast: “Enjoyed visiting with Landon Sikahema on his new sports podcast to talk about football, leadership, and lessons learned on and off the field. Thanks for having me!”

Owens has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Ben McAdams as representative for Utah’s 4th district. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Owens is also an alumnus of the University of Miami, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.
