Rep. Burgess Owens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, has recently highlighted his community engagement and political support in a series of posts on social media.

On July 21, 2025, Owens posted about his participation at an educational event for high school students: “It was an honor to speak at the Utah Freedom Academy closing ceremony, where high school students spent the week learning about the freedoms that define our nation. These young leaders are America’s greatest asset, and they’ll play a big role in keeping our country safe, strong,” he wrote.

Later that day, Owens expressed his support for former President Donald Trump with a post referencing the administration’s impact after six months: “Six months back in the White House, and America is winning again thanks to President @realDonaldTrump! “

On July 22, 2025, Owens thanked local advocates addressing homelessness in Utah: “Special thanks to Carol Hollowell and the incredible team at Switchpoint for giving Team Owens a tour of your facility. We’re grateful for the impactful work you’re doing to combat homelessness and help individuals find stability, purpose, and self-sufficiency.”

Owens has represented Utah’s 4th District since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Before entering politics, he graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.
