Rep. Burgess Owens, U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, recently shared updates on his official X account regarding meetings with local organizations and a milestone for the U.S. Marine Corps.
On November 7, 2025, Owens posted about his meeting with local firefighter leadership: “Appreciated the opportunity to sit down with the Salt Lake County Firefighters IAFF Local 1696 leadership to discuss key issues facing our brave firefighters, from safety and competitive pay to healthcare and more. Three days later, on November 10, he highlighted a visit to a Utah-based business: “Great visit with Landmark Excavating, a Utah company leading by example in workforce development. Their two accredited apprenticeship programs and 250 employees show how innovation and the free market build a stronger American workforce. Owens has represented Utah’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1951 and currently resides in Salt Lake City. Owens graduated from the University of Miami in 1974.
