Rep. Burgess Owens, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah’s 4th district since 2021, recently shared his views on several key issues through a series of tweets. Owens, a graduate of the University of Miami and a resident of Salt Lake City, has been an active voice in legislative matters.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Owens expressed his support for the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA). He stated that "Parents deserve choices, and kids deserve opportunity." The ECCA aims to provide $10 billion in tax credits for scholarships to empower families in choosing suitable educational opportunities for their children regardless of their ZIP code.

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Owens criticized disruptions on American roads by stating that "These ridiculous disruptions on America's roads should be illegal." His comments suggest a call for stricter regulations or enforcement to maintain order and safety on public roadways.

Later that day, Rep. Owens commented on international relations involving Panama's decision regarding China's Belt & Road initiative. He remarked that "President Trump was right again—Panama will end its connection with China's Belt & Road initiative & strengthen ties with the US." According to Owens, this move reflects "America First leadership," which he believes is essential for protecting U.S. interests and countering Chinese influence globally.
