Burgess Owens, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah's 4th district since 2021, shared his views on historical figures, current political actions, and educational changes through a series of tweets. Owens, who succeeded Ben McAdams and resides in Salt Lake City, often uses social media to communicate his perspectives.

On February 20, 2025, Owens highlighted the role of ordinary individuals in the American Revolutionary War. He mentioned Crispus Attucks as an example of such individuals: "History often remembers great leaders, orators, and generals who led the American Revolutionary War, but the fight for independence began with ordinary people willing to take a stand. Crispus Attucks, a sailor and laborer, was one of them."

Later that day, Owens commented on immigration policies under President Biden and the subsequent changes by President Trump: "Biden turned on the federal dollar firehose for illegal immigrants, fundamentally altering the mission of every executive agency to include programs for illegal aliens. One month in, President Trump is pulling the plug and making Washington work for YOU."

In another tweet posted on February 20th, he congratulated Linda McMahon while expressing optimism about future educational reforms: "Congratulations @Linda_McMahon! Generational change is on its way for America's students."
