Rep. Burgess Owens, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 4th district, shared a series of tweets on various topics related to his work and views. Owens, who has been in office since 2021 after replacing Ben McAdams, expressed anticipation for an upcoming committee hearing and commented on issues of racial discrimination and education.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Owens announced his excitement for welcoming several individuals to the first full Education and Workforce Committee hearing of the 119th Congress. He stated: "Looking forward to welcoming @nickineily, Dr. @PrestonCooper93, @JNelsonLDF, and @JohnnyCTaylorJr to our first full @EdWorkforceCmte hearing of the 119th Congress on the state of education in America." The event was scheduled for February 5 at 10:15 AM ET.

Later that day, Owens addressed a controversy regarding diversity initiatives within the federal government. He tweeted: "Racial discrimination is UNCONSTITUTIONAL—which makes the ginned-up 'controversy' over Trump killing DEI throughout the federal government laughable." He further mentioned his intention to support President Trump's executive order with new legislation in the House.

On February 5, Owens reminded followers about the scheduled Education and Workforce Committee hearing. His tweet read: "Tune into our first @EdWorkforceCmte hearing of the 119th Congress @ 10:15 AM ET."
