Congressman Burgess Owens recently shared several updates through social media, addressing a variety of topics and initiatives significant to both education and local economic development. The tweets reflect his ongoing legislative and community engagement efforts.

On April 4, 2025, Owens expressed gratitude to University of Toledo President Matt Schroeder for their meeting on higher education. He remarked, "Thanks to President Matt Schroeder for stopping by to discuss the evolving landscape of higher education. It’s clear that the University of Toledo is playing a key role in workforce development and innovation at both the state and national levels."

Later the same day, Owens announced collaborative legislative efforts in an April 4, 2025 post. He stated, "Proud to join @RepMikeLawler and @SenatorTimScott on bipartisan, bicameral legislation to require the Department of Education to use the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism when enforcing anti-discrimination laws."

In another tweet from April 4, 2025, Owens highlighted a meeting with Utah tourism leaders. He noted, "Great to meet with Utah’s tourism leaders, including Natalie Randall, Celina Sinclair, and partners from Park City, Davis, Ogden, and Uintah County. Their work drives local economies, supports small businesses, and showcases the best of what Utah has to offer!"
