Burgess Owens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 4th district since 2021, recently shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1951 and currently residing in Salt Lake City, Owens has been active in addressing both legislative matters and caucus activities.

On December 5, 2024, Owens expressed enthusiasm about joining the House DOGE Caucus. He tweeted: "Hey, @RepAaronBean—@DOGE needs some scissors! Excited to join the House DOGE Caucus. Let's get this done! "

Later that day, he addressed economic concerns for small businesses. Owens highlighted disparities in regulatory compliance costs between small and large companies. He stated: "Small businesses are paying 7x more per employee to comply with federal regs compared to bigger companies." Additionally, he noted that the House GOP passed Rep. Finstad's Prove It Act to promote fairness and transparency for small businesses.
