Rep. Burgess Owens, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 4th district, shared a series of tweets discussing various topics of interest. These tweets, posted on December 12 and 13, 2024, address issues related to federal land ownership in Utah, a congratulatory message to a colleague, and a tribute to the U.S. National Guard.

On December 12, Rep. Owens expressed concerns about federal land ownership in Utah. He stated that "67% of Utah’s land is federally owned, and the BLM is actively blocking responsible use of the resources Utah holds." He further mentioned his collaboration with Rep. Arrington to demand an "honest assessment" of these lands for the benefit of all residents.

The following day, December 13, Rep. Owens congratulated Tim Walberg on his election as Chair of the Education and Workforce Committee. In his tweet, he noted: "Congratulations to my friend, Tim Walberg, on being elected the next Chair of @EdWorkforceCmte." He emphasized the opportunity for restoring accountability in education within the new congress.

Later that day, Rep. Owens celebrated the anniversary of the U.S. National Guard with a tweet stating: "Happy Birthday to the @USNationalGuard!" Acknowledging its long history and role as America's first line of defense for 388 years, he thanked its members for their service both domestically and internationally.
