Burgess Owens, a current representative serving Utah's 4th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, shared three updates recently via his Twitter account. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Owens has resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated with a B.S. from the University of Miami in 1974.

On April 4th, Owens tweeted about his meeting with Denise Bell from BioUtah. "Great to meet with Denise Bell from BioUtah during the national BIO fly-in. Utah’s biotech sector is a powerhouse of innovation. We had a productive discussion on legislation impacting the industry, PBM reform, and protecting R&D investment."

Later on the same day, Owens met with KFC franchisees, notably Steve Orton and Jay Trujillo from Harman Management, to deliberate on the challenges encountered by small business proprietors and the restaurant industry. He voiced support for these entrepreneurs, recognizing their role in job creation. "Great to meet with KFC franchisees, including Utah’s own Steve Orton and Jay Trujillo from Harman Management.
