Rep. Burgess Owens, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 4th district since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021, recently shared updates and reflections on Twitter. Owens, 71, was born in Columbus, Ohio, and currently resides in Salt Lake City.

On April 20, 2025, Owens marked Easter Sunday with a message of gratitude and faith. He stated, "He is risen! I'm grateful today for faith, family, and the resurrection of our Savior. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Easter Sunday."

The following day, he expressed his appreciation for the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy at Utah Valley University. On April 21, 2025, he wrote, "It was an honor to join the incredible team at the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy at UVU. These Utahns train, certify, and support our state’s fire service at the highest level — and it shows. Grateful for their dedication, skill, and commitment to keeping our communities safe."

That same day, Owens highlighted his participation in a community development event in Riverton. He tweeted, "It was great to join @MayorStaggs, local leaders, and @RivertonUtahGov staff for the Green Well ribbon cutting last week — a key investment in Riverton’s future. Proud to celebrate real results for Utah families!"

Burgess Owens was born in 1951 and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami in 1974.
