Burgess Owens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah’s 4th District since 2021, shared insights and events from his recent engagements in Utah through social media posts made in late April 2025.

On April 21, 2025, Owens expressed his honor to attend the Utah County Farm Bureau Awards in Payson. In his post, he noted his appreciation for both seasoned ranchers and young farmers who are "working the land, feeding our communities, and securing our future." He concluded by thanking the attendees for having him at the event.

On April 22, 2025, in another post, Owens advocated for educational reform. He emphasized the need to "stop funding failure — and start investing in our kids." He highlighted the growing "momentum" for the Educational Choice for Children Act, noting that the bill prioritizes students over systems, and ended with a call to action: "Let’s get it done!"

Later that day, Owens visited Cedar Valley High alongside Utah County Sheriff Mike Smith to acknowledge the efforts of the student chapter of Turning Point USA (@TPUSA). The students raised funds for an American flag now displayed in the school foyer. Owens commended the students’ leadership and patriotism, stating that such actions are "making Utah proud."

Burgess Owens, born in 1951 in Columbus, Ohio, has been residing in Salt Lake City. He is an alumnus of the University of Miami, and he graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
