Rep. Burgess Owens addresses airport crash and FBI controversy

Burgess Owens, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Utah's 4th District, shared several statements on January 30, 2025, through his social media account. Owens has been in office since replacing Ben McAdams in 2021 and resides in Salt Lake City.

On January 30, 2025, Owens expressed his concern over an incident at Washington Reagan Airport. He stated: "Tragic news out of our nation’s capital. As we wait for more information on tonight’s crash at Washington Reagan Airport, please join me in praying for everyone involved, their loved ones, and first responders."

Later that day, Owens commented on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), stating: "The FBI has been exposed as a political tool of the Deep State. Confirm @Kash_Patel!" This statement was posted on January 30, 2025.

In another post from the same day, Owens praised Nicki Neily and Defending Ed for their advocacy work. He remarked: "The hope is contagious @nickineily! Parents concerns are finally being addressed and students will once again be put first under President Trump. Thank you Nicki and @DefendingEd for your tireless advocacy. Great things to come!"
