Burgess Owens, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah's 4th District since 2021, has recently shared several tweets addressing significant issues related to federal land ownership in Utah, the impact of the Trump administration on the state, and concerns over national security involving Chinese nationals.

On March 18, 2025, Owens highlighted the issue of federal land ownership in Utah. He stated that "65% of Utah land is owned by the federal government." Owens expressed anticipation for progress in unlocking these lands for local use after years of legislative and legal efforts against the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

In another tweet on the same day, Owens praised former President Donald Trump's contributions to Utah. He remarked that "President Trump is delivering for Utah—and we’re just getting started." He indicated that he had detailed both past accomplishments and future plans under Trump's administration in an article for Deseret News.

Additionally, Owens voiced concerns about national security risks posed by Chinese nationals entering the United States on student visas. On March 18, 2025, he tweeted that "Nearly 300,000 Chinese nationals come here on student visas every year..." Accusing some of them of espionage activities linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Owens declared his support for legislation proposed by Rep. Riley Moore aimed at addressing this issue.
